Community Outreach and Events Coordinators (2-3)
This sub-committee will help increase Grinnell School of Music’s visibility in our community. These volunteers will help plan and coordinate GSoM participation in community events, such as the Homecoming and 4th of July Parades, Trunk-or-Treat, Jingle Bell Holiday, Newcomer Welcome Events, and more. Activities may include tabling or participating in these and other events, decorating the GSoM windows and waiting area for seasonal festivities, and more! If you love being involved in the community and having fun, this is the right fit for you!
Event Hosts (1-2 per event)
Set up, greet participants, and serve refreshments for our drop-in and special events and programs, such as musical theater singalongs, drop-in pop choir, jam sessions, recitals and showcases, singalong movie nights, and more! We are looking for 1-2 people per event. Event hosts may have their registration or participation fee waived for events for which they volunteer!
Content Creator (1-2)
Help the Grinnell School of Music reach more people in our community through social media. We are looking for someone with video editing experience to create reels/shortform video content using footage from GSoM programs and events. We are looking for 2-4 edited videos per month, depending on your time and availability. Volunteers will work closely with the Director to refine the message, brand, channels, and audience for each video. This is a great opportunity for someone who is creative, passionate about community engagement through music, and interested in social media and marketing.
Recycling Pickup
Pick up recycling at GSoM (weekly or every second week) for delivery to the recycling depot.
